Timothy Kirby Sr.

Birth Date: 1952-04-20
Deceased Date: 2015-02-01
Obituary:
On February 1st, a sudden tragedy stunned all that were close to the Kirby Family. Timothy Matthew Kirby Sr. was taken from our lives, but defiantly will not be forgotten.

In 2003, Timothy suffered a paralyzing stroke which left him unable to speak and unable to move all limbs on his right side. This was after two serious quadruple bypasses two and five years before the stroke. Due to all these medical emergencies, Tim fought long and hard for many years even as countless failed therapy attempts and rehabilitation efforts.

A dedicated father and husband, Timothy (AKA Bigfoot) was loved by many as he always reached out to lend a helping hand. From Alumni drumline support at North Division High School to Soccer head coach, he showed he was very involved in the community and teaching kids the value of hard work and determination.

Timothy was also a seasoned veteran fighting in Vietnam, serving in the Special Forces and as a Drill Instructor for our newly enlisted troops while obtaining the rank of SSG.

Annie Jean Staples Obituary

Annie Jean (Nathaniel) Staples was born to the union of George Nathaniel and Martha White on September 5, 1942, in Pine Blue, Arkansas. Annie was the youngest of her siblings (in order of birth) James, Edna, Eartha, Mary, Thelma, George Jr., Joe, and Martha.

Annie Jean left Arkansas and moved to Chicago to stay with her older sister Thelma in 1951. She then moved to Milwaukee in 1958. Annie Jean received a formal education from North Division High School.

Annie met her soon-to-be husband, William (Bill) Staples at a summer festival in Milwaukee. They began courting and got married on February 20, 1962. Out of this union, Bill and Jean had three sons, Anthony (Tony), William (Ruther), and Melvin (Mel).

For the most part, Annie held a few jobs now and then, but her career was being a wonderful and caring mother to her three sons, as well as a faithful and loving wife to her husband.

What Annie was known and loved for was raising the neighborhood children, nieces and nephews, grandchildren, and anyone else who’d contact her asking to “watch their kids for them”. She was a mother to many and kept her doors open for all.
Annie departed life on September 20, 2023. She had been battling health issues for some time. Our Father called her home to suffer no more.

Annie was preceded in death by her husband William (Bill) and her youngest son Melvin.
She leaves to mourn her sister Martha Booker; her sons, Anthony and William Ruther (Pam); 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Annie Jean you will be missed! We love you!

To Grandma...

Until We Meet Again

Those special memories of you
Will always bring a smile.
If only I could have you back
For just a little while.

Then we could sit and talk again
Just like we used to do.
You always meant so very much
And always will do too.

The fact that you're no longer here
Will always cause me pain.
But you're forever in my heart
Until we meet again.
